Irini is the CTO and Co-Founder of Tensive SRL, bringing over 20 years of experience in polymer science applied to biomedical technologies.

She combines a strong scientific foundation with extensive hands-on expertise in product development, process upscaling, and manufacturing automation, guiding Tensive’s transition from laboratory innovation to clinically and industrially validated solutions.
Irini holds an MSc in Chemistry and a PhD in Biomaterials, and is the author of 40+ peer-reviewed publications and co-inventor of 7 patents. Her contributions to scientific research and entrepreneurship have been recognized with multiple national and international awards. Prior to founding Tensive, she held research positions at Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Filarete.
